SELECT THE WORKING PROFILE. THEN MATCH THE MACHINE.

Each configuration starts with the carrier interface and the material it must move, break, grip or process. Dimensions and wear protection are confirmed for the actual duty.

Recycling attachment selector

Match the attachment to the material stream.

Excavator attachments for recycling include car dismantlers, hydraulic shears, pulverizers, lifting magnets, orange-peel grabs, crusher buckets and drum cutters. The right starting point depends on whether the job is dismantling, cutting, separating, lifting, sizing or profiling material; the final configuration must also match the carrier hydraulics, lifting capacity and working cycle.

01

End-of-life vehicle dismantling

Confirm the vehicle mix, cutting and gripping sequence, carrier class and required sorting accuracy.

02

Ferrous scrap pickup and sorting

Use the material composition, piece shape, target lift and sorting method to choose magnetic pickup or mechanical gripping.

03

Steel cutting and structure dismantling

Provide material section, thickness, cutting sequence, carrier flow and pressure, and the required rotation behavior.

04

Concrete and rebar separation

Choose separation for recovered rebar or size reduction for reusable mineral output; describe reinforcement and target fraction.

05

Surface milling and controlled profiling

Confirm the surface material, required profile, access limits and the carrier hydraulic package.

Selection questions

DIRECT ANSWERS FOR A BUILDABLE SELECTION.

Which excavator attachments are used for recycling?

Common starting points include car dismantlers and hydraulic shears for dismantling and cutting, magnets and orange-peel grabs for sorting, pulverizers for concrete and rebar separation, crusher buckets for mineral size reduction, and drum cutters for profiling. The material stream and required recovered output determine the tool family.

Should a scrap yard use a lifting magnet or an orange-peel grab?

A lifting magnet is a starting point for suitable ferrous material that can be picked magnetically. An orange-peel grab mechanically closes around irregular scrap or bulk waste. Material composition, piece geometry, lift weight, sorting accuracy and carrier capacity must be checked before selection.

What is the difference between a pulverizer and a crusher bucket for recycling concrete?

A hydraulic pulverizer is used for secondary demolition and separating reinforcing steel from concrete. A crusher bucket reduces suitable concrete or mineral feed to a selected outlet range. Reinforcement, maximum feed size, target output and downstream reuse should be defined first.

What information is needed to quote a recycling attachment?

Provide the carrier make, model, operating weight and lift limits; pin or coupler geometry; hydraulic flow, pressure and return arrangement; material type and largest piece; required operation; cycles per shift; target recovered fraction; and destination country.
